General Terms and Conditions – Bijlmer Run
1. Participation
1.1. Participation in the event is only possible after a valid registration through the official registration system and payment of the registration fee.
1.2. By registering, the participant declares to have read and agreed to these General Terms and Conditions and any additional instructions from the organization.
1.3. Registration is personal and non-transferable, unless the organization has explicitly granted permission for this.
2. Liability and Risk
2.1. Participation in the event is entirely at the participant's own risk.
2.2. The organization is not liable for any form of damage, injury, loss, or theft suffered by the participant before, during, or after the event.
2.3. The participant is personally responsible for being in sufficient medical condition to participate in the event.
3. Cancellation or Modification of the Event
3.1. The organization reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the event in case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, including (but not limited to) extreme weather conditions, safety risks, or government measures.
3.2. In such cases, the organization has the right to retain the registration fee in whole or in part to cover costs already incurred.
3.3. In the event of cancellation by the participant, no refund of the registration fee will be given.
4. Photo and Video Material
4.1. During the event, photos and video recordings may be taken by or on behalf of the organization.
4.2. By participating, the participant consents to these images being used for promotional and communicative purposes of the event and future editions, without entitlement to compensation.
4.3. Participants who do not wish to be recognizably captured on camera must notify the photographer or organization in advance or on-site.
5. Personal Data
5.1. The organization processes personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation (GDPR).
5.2. The data is used exclusively for the organization of the event, communication with participants, and publication of results or event impressions.
5.3. Participants have the right to view, correct, or have their data deleted by contacting the organization.
6. Code of Conduct
6.1. Participants are expected to behave in a sportsmanlike and respectful manner towards other runners, volunteers, spectators, and the surroundings.
6.2. Littering or causing damage to property or nature is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
7. Medical Assistance
7.1. If medical assistance is deemed necessary, it may be provided by (or on behalf of) the organization.
7.2. The organization is not liable for the consequences of medical assistance provided or refused.
8. Final Provisions
8.1. In situations not covered by these General Terms and Conditions, the organization will decide.
8.2. These terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law.
